LACC Executive Chairperson Attends High-Level Rule of Law and Good Governance Conference at World Bank Group
The Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption (LACC) has returned to Liberia after attending a high-level conference on the rule of law and good governance in the United States.
Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe honored an invitation from the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington, D.C., to attend this forum which was held under the theme: “Justice and the Rule of Law Global Forum: Fostering Inclusive and Sustainable Development”.
The forum was held to foster dialogue and collaboration within a broad ecosystem of stakeholders to reaffirm the role of justice and the role of law as an essential element of development.
The forum brought together over 200 participants from across the world. Including senior government and judicial officials, WBG leadership, international and civil society organizations, private sector representatives and academia.
While at the forum, Cllr. Zoe served as a panelist alongside other anti-corruption experts and criminal justice specialists on the topic: “Fighting Corruption through Effective Justice Systems”.
The Forum closed with the call for collective action to strengthen justice systems and the rule of law around the globe.
The conference was held at the World Bank Group Headquarters in Washington D.C. from June 25 – 26.
