WEST AFRICAN ANTI-GRAFT CHIEFS GATHER IN ABUJA

Friday, March 18, 2022: The Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission is joining 15 other anti-graft chiefs from West Africa meeting in the Nigerian Capital Abuja to discuss new strategies to fight corruption in the sub-region. ECOWAS Anti-corruption chiefs will discuss money laundering, regional approach to fighting corruption and confiscation of assets in the absence of criminal conviction

The LACC Executive Chairperson expected to present Liberia’s position in the fight against corruption and outline strategies he has implemented since coming to office under six months ago. The fifth Ordinary Summit of National Anti-Corruption Institutions in West Africa (NACIWA) is hosted by Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to opening the meeting of the sub-region anti-corruption chiefs.
