During Emergency Siting, Senate To Review Anti-Corruption Legislations-PRO Temp Chie Asserts
The President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate Grand Kru County Senator Albert Chie says Proposed Anti-Corruption Legislation are among several instruments the Senate will Review during its Emergency Sitting.
Speaking to Legislative Reporters on Capitol Hill, Senator Chie said these Legislations are important and will be reviewed for possible decision.
It can be recalled that the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission submitted several proposed Legislations that it says will aid it in the fight against corruption. Some of the Legislations include: Giving the Commission direct prosecutorial power, establishment of criminal court f, amendment to section 10.2 of the code of conduct to make the LACC the sole repository of all Assets declared.
Before the close of the last section, the House of Representatives passed on these Legislations and forwarded to the Liberian Senate for Concurrence.
