June 11, 2025, CENTAL Officially Launched the 2024 State of Corruption Report

June 11, 2025, CENTAL officially launched the 2024 State of Corruption Report, a powerful publication developed through independent surveys and comprehensive research. The report presents a stark reflection of the state of corruption in Liberia, its impacts, challenges, and progress.

The launch event brought together a strong coalition of stakeholders, including representatives from the American, Irish, and Swedish Embassies, UN Women, the Liberia National Police, the Ministry of Justice, and other national partners dedicated to promoting transparency and integrity.

Representing the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), Atty. Emmett K. Kaye emphasized that this report is “not just a publication, but a mirror”reflecting the real challenges we face and the progress we must continue to fight for.

He warned that:”Every misappropriated public fund is a stolen opportunity to build schools, hospitals, roads, and livelihoods. Every act of bribery weakens the rule of law and chips away at the integrity of our institutions.”

He underscored the collective responsibility of the anti-corruption fight, stressing that this is not the Commission’s fight alone, but one that demands action from every citizen, regardless of position or profession.
