Meeting Between Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission and Office of the Ombudsman Focuses on Collaboration, Knowledge Sharing, and Capacity Building
Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) and the Office of the Ombudsman of Liberia convened a significant meeting to discuss and promote enhanced collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building between the two institutions. The meeting aimed at strengthening the fight against corruption and fostering greater accountability and transparency within Liberia.
The primary purpose of this high-level meeting was to establish a robust framework for cooperation between the LACC and the Office of the Ombudsman. Both institutions recognize the critical importance of working together to tackle corruption, improve governance, and uphold the rule of law in Liberia.
During the meeting, representatives from both organizations engaged in productive discussions focused on:
- Collaboration: Exploring avenues for joint initiatives, information sharing, and coordinated efforts to combat corruption more effectively.

Commenting on the meeting, Cllr. Alexandra Kormah Zoe, Executive Chairperson of the LACC, stated, "This meeting marks a crucial step in our efforts to build a strong and united front against corruption. By working closely with the Office of the Ombudsman, we can leverage our strengths and resources to drive meaningful change and foster a culture of integrity in Liberia”.
Cllr. Finley Karnga, Chairman for the Office of the Ombudsman of Liberia, added, "We are committed to collaborating with the LACC to enhance our collective capabilities in fighting corruption. Through knowledge sharing and capacity building, we aim to create a more transparent and accountable governance system for the benefit of all Liberians."
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge to maintain open communication and cooperation between the two institutions. Future engagements and joint initiatives were also discussed to ensure sustained progress in the fight against corruption.”
