Hon. Samuel F. Dakana, Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation
Hon. Samuel F. Dakana is one of the Commissioners responsible for Monitoring and Investigation. Commissioner Dakana hails from Bomi County.
Hon. Dakana is a seasoned Criminal Justice Professional with many years of experience in the security sector in Liberia.
Prior to joining the LACC, Commissioner Dakana served in several positions including National Security Sector Reform Coordinator, Office of the National Security Advisor to the President of the Republic of Liberia at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, Prosecutor at the Ministry of Justice, Deputy Inspector General of Police for Training/Commandant, National Police Training Academy, Deputy Inspector General of Police for Administration among others.
Commissioner Dakana holds a Master of Arts Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation from the Kofi Anna Institute for Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation, University of Liberia and a Bachelor of Law Degree from the Louis Arthur Grime School of Law, University of Liberia. Hon. Dakana also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the A.M.E. Zion University, a Diploma from the Booker Washington Agriculture & Industrial Institute, Kakata, Margibi County and a Diploma in Basic Police Science.
Hon. Samuel F. Dakana also holds several professional Certificates in different disciplines, including a Certificate in Advance Gender Course from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center in Ghana, a Certificate in Cyber Crime, National Cyber Security & Internet Piracy from Nigeria as well as a professional certificates in security reform from institutions in the United States, Europe and China.
Commissioner Samuel F. Dakana is an ordained Minister of the Gospel and married and blessed with several children; biological and foster.
