Dr. Miatta Jeh, Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation

Dr. Jeh, is one of the three Commissioners for Monitoring and Investigation at the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC).

Dr. Jeh was born in Monrovia, Liberia. During the Liberian Civil War, her family landed in the United States of America as refugees. She received her formal education in America.

Dr. Jeh graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (2018) and Bachelor of Science (2016) Degree from Stockton University located in Galloway, New Jersey, USA. Dr. Jeh graduated at the top of her class in undergraduate and graduate school receiving Magna Cum Laude and acceptance in the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. She graduated in the top 10% of her high school class receiving academic scholarships nationwide.

Dr. Jeh was accepted into a rigorous three-year Doctorate Degree program, while simultaneously completing her final year of her bachelor’s degree. In 2018, she obtained her Doctorate Degree becoming one of the first African women in the university to accomplish such honor.

Dr. Jeh represented less than 1% of the Black/ African American US population to obtain a Doctorate in 2018. She broke barriers within a predominately White university and profession serving as an example for future minorities and woman of color.

Dr. Jeh has over 7 years of experience monitoring and investigating fraud within the United States Banking sector. Prior to obtaining her degrees, she worked in the banking sector as a Fraud Risk Investigator and Fraud Risk Specialist at Beneficial Bank, Burlington NJ USA. In this position, she monitored and reported fraudulent activities. Dr. Jeh supported fraud investigations by researching, collecting and analyzing data using cross functional risk assessment tools.

Dr. Jeh brings a diversified portfolio and background to the new LACC.
