LACC COMPLETES EIGHT-WEEK CAPACITY BUILDING

April 17, 2023 – Monrovia, Liberia –The Executive Chairperson of the LACC has said that the entity is committed to providing more training opportunities for staff to join in the fight of corruption.

Cllr. Edwin Kla Martin made the assertion recently when he spoke at the close of an eight-day training session on Assets tracing and Financial Profiling held at the head offices of the LACC.

Cllr. Martin noted that continuous capacity building in various areas of corruption is very necessary and challenged the participants to use the acquired knowledge gained to combat corruption as it will go a long way to bring fraudulent persons to book.

Earlier, Mr John Tommy, Prevention Officer at the LACC thanked the facilitators for the knowledge gained and assured the Commission that what was learned will be used to fight corruption.

The eight-day training workshop was sponsored by the LACC with funding from the Government of Liberia for selected staff from the Investigation, Education & Prevention and Administration Divisions.

The training program was conducted in the areas of Assets Tracing, Asset Recovery and Financial Profiling for Investigators and Corruption Prevention Officers.
