Monrovia, Liberia – March 30 – The LACC recently received high-powered delegations of Senior Executives from the African Development Bank (AfDB).
Receiving the delegation, the LACC Executive Chairperson lauded the AfDB for their support of the LACC over the years. He said this support has helped in the Commission’s professional capacity and infrastructure.
Cllr. Edward Kla Martin noted that the LACC will continue to perform its responsibility as enshrined in the Act creating the entity.
The Executive Chairperson also highlighted challenges affecting the Commission including decentralization, and logistics among others.
For his part, the Executive Director and Dean of the Board of Executive Directors at the AfDB; Mr Ahmed Mahmoud Zayed praised the work of the LACC and said that he is happy with the achievements of Cllr. Martin at the Commission.
He said the AfDB will remain open to more support for the governing process in Liberia.
