Former President Sirleaf Urge Public Officials Declare Assets

Former Liberian President as urged public officials to declare their in keeping with the timetable set by the Liberia Anti-Corruption commission.

President Sirleaf said public officials failing to declare before the deadline set by the Commission will be doing so at his or her own risk.

The former President spoke mid this year at an event organized by the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission with support from the USAID-LPAC to highlight the importance of assets declaration for public officials.

To promote transparency in public sector financial management program across government, public officials are required to declare their assets regularly as a means of checkmating possible corruption in the public sector.
